For quite some time it has been tradition to paint a performance of art on the ice using figure skaters as the brush. It has also been tradition for EIS to help the community experience that art form. Now we would like to try something new and fresh here and we are hoping to have your participation it making it a success.
We have all heard of Disney on Ice, but what about Anime on Ice. Yes, the show for the adult cartoon lover has come to light here at Evergreen Ice Sports. For those who don’t know this slang name, it is connected to Japanese Animation/Cartoons in origin. We all have watched it at some point probably, whether it was with your kids or first hand. It is a mainstream art form now days and has thousands of fans and artist’s involved with it.
The Art form of Anime has been chosen to be the inspiration for a new series of performances that EIS has been putting together. The hope is that this will bring two different interests together as one so as to expand our artistic realm and bring the community closer together. People are encouraged to participate and perform in this production, but for those who can’t or would rather just watch your support is also a very big help and is much appreciated! We look forward to having as many volunteers as possible. The more the merrier!
