Fandom/Anime on Ice Meeting – April 30th

The Art form of Anime has been chosen to be the inspiration for a new series of performances that EIS has been putting together. The hope is that this will bring two different interests together as one so as to expand our artistic realm and bring the community closer together. People are encouraged to participate and perform in this production, but for those who can’t or would rather just watch your support is also a very big help and is much appreciated! We look forward to having as many volunteers as possible. The more the merrier!

The meeting went from 3:30 to 5:30pm.

General Board Meeting – April 27th

The time has come for your input on the operations and events here at Evergreen Ice Sports, that’s right the directors are rallying for discussion and the board invites all those who would like their two cents heard. Is there something bothering you about a program here at EIS? Is there something you really enjoyed that you would like to continue? Or do you just have comments or suggestions that could make our organization better?

During the meeting the Board will be opening up the floor for questions and comments and it is at that time we encourage you to open up to us with what’s on your mind. Just because it’s called the Board doesn’t mean their stiff, they look forward to hearing from you. These meetings are for the future of the ice and you don’t want to pass up this chance to be heard in the decision making process. Thank you for helping us to be a better organization for your community.

The meeting lasted from 7:00pm -8:30pm.

Meeting #4 – April 16, 2010

Planning the choreography further was the start of the fourth meeting but this time they were able to match it up to music. The decided soundtrack was now available and this gave the performers a better understanding of their scenes and made it easier to conceive the timing necessary. They also practiced with Coach Jenne on scene clarity, skating skill level and replacement maneuver purposes.

To conclude, the Flyers were discussed again, also the due date was decided on for when they should be completed so as to be disbursed in an adequate amount of time.

The meeting began at 3:30pm.

Meeting #3 – April 9th of 2010

With the start of meeting three the group discussed the real meat of the performance, the choreography and ideas for combat like scenes. And with the help of Coach Jenne they are sure to master these maneuvers. Following these ideas it was on to the ice to practice this choreography with the Coach.

Following practice the group dicussed Audio, Props, Costumes and ideas for costume reference. After discussion, actual production of some props began while also, the performers watched certain video references for inspiration to the acts they would perform.

The meeting began at 3:30 p.m.

Meeting #2 – March 22 of 2010

Continuing lessons with Coach Jenne the group learned new Skating skills to start the meeting. A good warm up like before is important to any brainstorming meeting, get’s the brain really firing. Also, it helps the performers to see better what they can and can not do.

Next, the base for any performance is the character roles and who shall perform them. Now having an idea of their capabilities and what the first show is to be they can make educated decisions on who should play who….or since this is an Anime based show, who should play what.

Now with any good performance a well matched sound track is necessary. So with a good outline of the performance now forming the players discuss audio possibilities to tie in with the show. Also, flyer ideas were discussed now that everyone had a chance to brew on the idea for a period time of what designs and styles should be used.

To conclude this meeting the group needed to discuss the next date for a meeting by looking at availability of the majority of the group. Schedules were closely examined and the next date was set for April 9th.

The meeting began at 3:30 p.m.
